I painted Moonlit around that feeling of looking ahead without knowing exactly where life is taking you. The woman’s face is turned toward the moon, but she isn’t searching for an answer. She’s simply allowing herself to be present in the unknown.
I added the touches of gold leaf because I wanted little pieces of light to appear against the deep indigo background—the way hope can show up even when the path ahead isn’t completely clear.
Sometimes seeing the whole path isn’t necessary. A little light can be enough for the next step.
