20" W × 16" H × 0.5" D on Canvas / Mix Media / Wired and Ready to Hang Unframed
"Sometimes the soul doesn't need answers it simply needs a place to rest."
I’ve always been drawn to wide stretches of land where your eye can travel all the way to the horizon. With Song of the Wheatfield, I wanted to capture that feeling, the golden grasses, the changing sky, and the sense that there’s nowhere you need to hurry to.
As I built the layers of color and texture, I wanted the field to feel alive rather than perfectly still, almost as if you could hear the grasses moving when the wind passes through them.
This painting is my version of stepping away from all the noise for a while and finding a little breathing room.
