8’ W x 8” H x 0.5 D on Canvas / Acrylic and Inks / Wired and Ready to Hang Unframed
“The smallest moments can sometimes bring the most unexpected joy.”
When I painted The Butterfly’s Garden, I wanted it to feel like stumbling upon a little corner of a garden and discovering something beautiful you almost could have missed. The blue butterfly became the focus, floating above the pink flowers as if it had only stopped there for a moment.
I kept plenty of open space around it and let the turquoise, blush and warm touches of color move loosely through the background. That openness gives the butterfly somewhere to go and the painting room to breathe.
I like that this little painting captures something so fleeting. You notice it, enjoy it, and for a moment, everything else can wait.
