I painted Quiet Bloom around something very ordinary a vase of flowers sitting on a table. There’s no grand scene or complicated story here. I wanted to take an everyday moment and give it enough attention to make it feel special.
I kept parts of the vase and background loose while allowing those rich pink flowers to come forward. They’re imperfect and a little unruly, which is exactly what I like about them.
Beauty doesn’t always ask for our attention. Sometimes we have to notice it first.
