I painted Garden Serenade with the simple pleasure of a garden in mind, the color, the movement, and those little surprises you notice when you slow down long enough to see them. The butterfly became that unexpected moment of joy, drifting into all that color.
I let the flowers remain loose and expressive rather than making everything perfect and precise. I wanted the painting to feel alive, as though the garden is still changing right in front of you.
There’s something wonderful about finding happiness in an ordinary moment. Garden Serenade grew from that feeling.
