Horses have been part of my story for a long time, so I find myself returning to them again and again in my paintings. With Charging Grace, I wanted to capture that instant when a horse comes forward with everything it has no hesitation, just movement and instinct.
I kept the white horse emerging through loose layers of pink, charcoal, blue and cream because I wanted you to feel the movement before you noticed every detail. The unfinished marks and sweeping lines are part of that energy.
Charging Grace holds a feeling I know well: that moment when you finally decide to stop standing still and see where going forward might take you
